Pensions at work

"Pension funds have come to play an increasingly important role within the new economy. The essays, by a distinguished group of experts from a variety of backgrounds, address the different manifestations of socially responsible investment - social screens, economically targeted investment, and shareholder activism. The volume also discusses the concept of fiduciary responsibility as it pertains to trustees of pension funds, and matters related to the preparation of trustees nominated by unions for the boards of pension funds." "Addressing an array of important issues, such as trustee education, the impact of human capital criteria on shareholder returns, the influence of employee engagement on corporate performance, and the nature of public-private partnerships, Pensions at Work is an essential resource for anyone with an interest in the labour movement and for institutional investors in general."--BOOK JACKET.
